Land Manager jobs in Texas

Now, if you like to travel and see the world, or at least a good chunk of the U.S., this opportunity is tailor-made for you. With about half your time spent on the road, you’ll get a good taste of the various mine operations at company production sites. But if ya feel like puttin’ down roots, we’ve got an option for relocation that could significantly cut back on the traveling.

Compensation is mighty sweet, too! We’re talkin’ about a base salary of $120,000, with an annual bonus target of 50%. And don’t worry about the benefits. We’ve got 401k, and medical insurance where the company covers most of the premiums, and if you choose to relocate rather than work remotely, we’ll even help you with that.

What can you expect in this Texas Land Manager Job? You’ll be the one…

  • Whipping up and implementin’ strategies to keep the company mines well stocked and running smooth.
  • Hunting for new exploration targets to keep the company on the cutting edge.
  • Courting landowners for those juicy mine lease opportunities.
  • Getting down to the nitty-gritty with subsurface investigations and exploratory drilling programs.
  • Sealing the deal with lease agreements with the landowners.
  • Keeping a watchful eye on active contracts to ensure they’re all ship-shape.
  • Ensuring projects are in sync with the company’s goals and completed on time and on budget.
  • Adhering to all the company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety, MSHA,  and the environment.

The Land Manager Job Requirements:

  • You have your B.S. in Geology, Mine Engineering, or Land Management, but an M.S. or P.G. is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience under your belt in managing mining-related geologic projects.
  • You should be okay with traveling at least 50% of the time, though your travel will reduce significantly if you relocate to the West Texas region.
  • You’ve got hands-on knowledge of core drilling rigs and exploration techniques.
  • Proficiency with permitting laws, mapping, and advanced geologic modeling software is a must.
  • You can demonstrate your success in supervising contractors, managing greenfield mining projects, and preparing and reviewing professional geologic reports.
  • You are an expert on MSHA requirements and have the ability to write and speak professionally.

So come on down to join us in West Texas. Apply for Job #760, and let’s grow this operation together. We promise ya, it’s a role that will have ya workin’ hard, but playin’ just as hard – after all, we are in Texas, where life’s meant to be lived to the fullest!
