Summary

Responsibilities

  • Project Scope development
  • Alternative Analyses and Risk Assessment for AFE development
  • Cost Estimation
  • Developing capital spending request with full justification
  • Contractor selection, in conjunction with Purchasing, through competitive bid process (evaluate for cost and technical viability, selection process based on maximum value)
  • Contractor supervision during design and field work
  • Project documentation and creating of permanent record
  • Coordination with operations during construction and handoff upon completion
  • Establish ongoing system maintenance, monitoring and audit protocol for new/modified systems

Requirements

  • B.S. Civil Engineering, Master of Science or P.E. preferred
  • 15+ years with progressive responsibilities
  • Demonstrated project management skills, MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint), MS Project Expertise, AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated project management skills ($100k to $3,000k)
  • MS Project expertise
  • AutoCAD experience (creating, reading and marking up drawings)
  • MS Suite capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Extensive experience/expertise in: Mill tailings handling-dry stacking, wet transport, water management, slope stability analysis
  • Capacity to interact with all levels of the organization from shop to floor to most senior levels of management
  • Self-starter – Highly motivated
